The role of play in the development of preschool children

According to our teachers, play is a natural part of a child's development from birth and playtime is an opportunity for children to develop comprehensively in preschool.

3 simple games parents can play with their children at home

Fun Experiment: Searching for Light

Objective :  Through the experiment, children can see that plants can find light to move towards life.

Suitable age :  over 3 years old

Ingredient:

• A cup of soil
• Black beans
• Cardboard box, scissors, tape

How to proceed:

• Cut and paste the cardboard box into a zigzag maze and drill holes in the lid.
• Punch a hole about 5cm on the lid of the box
• Plant beans in pots of soil

Instructions:  Place the potted plant in a cardboard box, observe after a while the plant will sprout and grow, "overcome obstacles" and head towards the light. 

Trò chơi “Chiếc hộp bí mật”

Mục tiêu: Việc vận dụng ngôn ngữ để mô tả đồ vật thông qua cảm nhận bằng xúc giác giúp các con phát triển ngôn ngữ một cách tự nhiên. Đồng thời, đây cũng là cách để phát triển các giác quan của trẻ một cách toàn diện, tạo cơ hội để trẻ củng cố, gia tăng vốn từ một cách hiệu quả nhất. 

Độ tuổi phù hợp: 4,5 đến 6 tuổi

Nguyên liệu: 

• Một chiếc hộp chữ nhật có nắp đẹp, màu sắc bắt mắt
• Một số loại củ quả, hoặc đồ chơi yêu thích của trẻ

Hướng dẫn chơi:

• Các con sẽ cho tay vào hộp, sờ và cảm nhận một đồ vật nào đó 
• Dùng ngôn ngữ miêu tả, giải thích cho ba mẹ về đồ vật đó
• Ba mẹ sẽ đoán. 
• Khi đã quen, ba mẹ có thể đặt ra quy tắc thời gian, tức là chỉ được miêu tả đồ vật trong khoảng thời gian nhất định
• Khi có sức ép, các con sẽ có phản xạ ngôn ngữ nhanh hơn

Trò chơi Tìm kiếm đồ vật

Ở cấp độ đơn giản, ba mẹ có thể cùng trẻ tham gia trò chơi tìm đồ vật cất giấu bằng cách: Hãy giấu những món đồ chơi mà con yêu thích như búp bê, ô tô… nhưng cố tình để cho con thấy bạn để chỗ nào. Để kích thích trí tò mò của trẻ, ba mẹ hãy khéo léo hỏi con những đồ vật mình muốn và ngỏ ý nhờ đến sự giúp đỡ của trẻ để tìm kiếm đồ vật đó. Sự mời gọi của bạn sẽ kích thích trẻ ngoan ngoãn và thích thú tìm đồ vật bị giấu. Quan trọng là ba mẹ hãy dành cho trẻ những lời khích lệ, động viên khi trẻ tìm thấy. Trò chơi này không chỉ giúp trẻ tăng cường vận động mà còn tạo cho các con sự hứng khởi, rèn luyện kĩ năng giao tiếp, hợp tác với mọi người. 

Trò chơi Vì sao con buồn/vui?

Mục tiêu: Giúp con phát triển ngôn ngữ, khả năng nhận biết và biểu lộ cảm xúc. 

Độ tuổi phù hợp: trên 3 tuổi

Nguyên liệu: Chỉ cần 2 tờ giấy và bút

Hướng dẫn thực hiện: 

• Đầu tiên, ba mẹ hãy vẽ một hình mặt cười và một hình mặt buồn lên giấy rồi gấp lại. 
• Bắt đầu trò chơi: Bé sẽ lựa chọn 1 trong 2 tờ giấy đó. 
• Trẻ mở ra và đọc to hình mặt mà mình vừa bốc được.
• Nếu là mặt buồn, ba mẹ sẽ hỏi bé lý do vì sao em bé lại buồn? Ba mẹ có thể gợi ý để con đưa ra lời giải thích của riêng mình (bé không có ai chơi cùng; bé không có đồ chơi; mẹ đi vắng, bé buồn vì bé buồn thôi…).
• Hoặc khi bé chọn được mặt cười. Con sẽ đọc lên: Bé vui.
• Ba mẹ sẽ hỏi lý do vì sao em bé vui như vậy? Ba mẹ có thể gợi ý để con đưa ra lời giải thích (bé được ba mẹ chơi cùng; bé vừa có một người bạn mới, con được ăn món ăn yêu thích…).
